History

Alken-Ziegler began its history as a supplier of machined parts to the auto industry in 1969. In 1979, the main plant along with the first cold formers were moved to the northern Michigan town of Kalkaska.

In 1999, Alken-Ziegler acquired two specialty parts manufacturers: Dana Special Products Division and Uniflow Corporation. These operations were blended into the Kalkaska plant.

In 2007, Alken-Ziegler acquired three leading tool & die companies: FormFlow, L&H Die and Micanol. These plants were consolidated into one state-of-the-art facility in Taylor, MI.

In 2007, Alken-Ziegler launched a machining and tooling division in Taylor, MI specializing in rotary transfer machining and automated CNC machining.

In 2008, Alken-Ziegler launched a new state of the art coldforming facility in Taylor, MI specializing in high volume complex coldforming.

Today, with over 140,000 square feet of manufacturing space in Taylor, MI, Alken-Ziegler provides dozens of customers in the Americas, Europe and Asia with over 250 unique part numbers on a daily basis.

In 2008, Alken-Ziegler launched a supplier village with Tenneco in Kettering, Ohio specializing in forming strut rod components.
